Could this Work Week Go By ANY SLOWER!

Not much new to post, just the same usual work week stuff. Annabelle has a new glitter ball (that Nancy from my office bought for her) and she is totally in love with it! She spent the whole evening playing with it, laying on the floor rolling it, bouncing it off Walter, bouncing it off the oven...it's real entertainment. Who knew a glitter and water filled ball could keep a two year old entertained for so long?

We're attempting the "house clean out of 2009"...it's a BIG challenge. I've scheduled the week of spring break off work so Justin and I can do a major house cleaning and prepare for our garage sale. We're also planning on scheduling new carpet installation for our living room/hallway that same week. I'm hoping the weather is good that week! We should be able to put the house up for sale after that.

Tonight is Girls night again since Justin has night class! Wooohooo!

Is it just me or is this work week CRAWLING??

Walter the Wonder Cat

Walter was begging us to come outside too so we let him out. He was having a good time until he decided to take all his pent up anger out on Lady - the dog next door. After chasing her up and down the fence hissing and spitting at her for about five minutes he was ready to come back inside and take a nap...silly cat.

It was FINALLY warm enough today to play outside. Annabelle had a good time kicking her ball and playing on her seesaw.

Bedtime stories with Daddy

Annabelle reads a bedtime story with Daddy every night. There are pictures of kids doing acrobatics in Annabelle's favorite book & she likes to try to do what the kids are doing in the book...stand on your head, jump, somersault etc. Justin & I really get a laugh out of watching the "Annabelle Acrobatics"!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Annabelle made a Valentine for Ms. Ruth and we bought Valentine's for all her friends. She came home from daycare yesterday with an entire LARGE bag full of goodies.

Daddy bought us flowers, balloons and candy and took us out to lunch today. Too bad it never got warmer than 40 degrees today so we had to stay inside all day again...great napping weather though!

My Sister is a Super Star!

My Sister, Lisa, and her friends went to California and were on the Price is Right that aired 2/11. I just watched it online again and I can't stop laughing! Lisa's friend, Heather, actually got to play a game, spin the wheel and was in the showcase show down...too funny. Thanks for the laugh Lisa, I think I like your facial expressions in the background the best!

First Time Blogging from my New Netbook!

Yaaayyy! I got my new netbook today, I'm so excited! Now I can Blog from anywhere...and it's tiny! Justin had it all set up for me when I got home from work today. I actually think this is an attempt to keep me away from HIS electronics, oh well, I love it anyway...happy Valentine's day to me :)

Justin accepted a teaching position at University of Texas-Pan American: http://www.utpa.edu/
He'll start teaching music theory/composition in the fall!
We will be moving sometime this summer, right now we are planning on doing some work on our house before we put it on the market. It's going to be another big life change but we're always up for change!

Valentine's gifts from everyone!

Siti & Papa also sent us a package for Valentine's day. Siti made Annabelle this cute apron! We LOVE it! Annabelle also loved the stickers from Grandma & Grandpa. Thank you everyone for the terrific Valentine's day gifts, you guys are so special to us!

Annabelle introduces the Monkey to Daddy

Annabelle received a package from Grandpa & Grandma today, she was so excited to open it and loved everything in the box! She mostly loved a little monkey that was hiding inside a gift bag. Annabelle introduced the Monkey to Daddy and let him sit on Daddy's shoulder. Then Annabelle made the monkey kiss Daddy.

Bath in the Sink

Tornadoes, Rain, Hail...oh my

Annabelle and I made it home through the storms tonight. We stopped for our usual "Taco Tuesday" since Justin has night classes. We saw some pretty ominous clouds, hail and rain while waiting in the drive thru but Annabelle insisted that she needed tacos! When we got home Walter was anxiously waiting for us, he wanted to go outside, I told Annabelle "we can't let Walter go out, it's raining" and she said "he can go out, we need to give him an umbrella!". I'm just picturing Walter with an umbrella, maybe one of those hat umbrellas? Maybe this could be a new invention?

Justin made it home from night class okay, no bad weather in Norman. He's very perplexed with the career decisions he's making now, Annabelle says "Daddy is grumpy". Lets hope it all works out for the best! We're always up for change!

The tornado damage in Edmond looks pretty bad. We were very lucky again with this one! Maybe another good thing about moving south - no tornadoes?

Tornadoes in February?

Yes, there are tornadoes in the metro area today! I can't believe it. They've been blowing the tornado sirens for the last 30 minutes and we are all so used to them we just sit at our desks and continue working. I just watched an EF2 tornado on TV and it was taking out portions of NW Edmond, it already did damage on the NW Expressway just a few miles from my office. It passed just within a mile of Ruth's house, I called and Annabelle is fine. Justin is in Norman this afternoon and safe also. Lets just hope these tornadoes don't continue into the night!

No More Monkeys...

Last night Annabelle and I were eating spaghetti for dinner and talking about our day. I asked if anything exciting happened at Ruth's and Annabelle said "Riley stepped on my hand" I said "Owwww, that must've hurt, are you okay" Annabelle said "I had to go to the doctor" I said "Oh my gosh, What did the doctor say?" Annabelle replied "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!"

I sing the Monkey song with her every night:
"Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head.
Mama called the Doctor and the Doctor said,
"No more monkeys jumping on the bed!" etc. etc.

Made it to Texas!

Justin called twice last night, once from Houston, once from Edinburg...he made it! He didn't get in to the hotel until around 9:30 pm and wasn't going to the college until 9 am today for the big day! Annabelle and I gave him lots of kisses over the phone. We hope his day goes well. Annabelle kept asking me where he was last night, I told her Daddy went on an airplane to Texas and she was very intrigued with that idea! She usually says "He's MY Daddy" when I talk about him. Our two day party hasn't been very exciting yet, we stopped for tacos last night and I asked Annabelle what she wanted to do for the evening and she said "go home" so we watched Beauty and the Beast and read a couple princess books, very exciting evening!

Funny for the Day

I was just thinking about this funny from Saturday in the dressing room at Kohl's with Annabelle: I was trying on jeans (if you're a woman you know what a joy that is!) and Annabelle was doing a running commentary that included "you're taking your shirt off, now you're NAKED" "I see your belly, it's a BIG belly" "now I see your booty" etc. etc. As I was trying on a pair of jeans with a particularly large belt Annabelle says "THEY HAVE A SEATBELT!"...I just replied, yep, they DO have a seatbelt...I couldn't stop laughing!

Found Puppy

Leslie found this puppy in her neighborhood on Saturday. The area in Loma Linda she found him in is very woodsy and miles to the next house. She posted flyers hoping that he has a home somewhere...if not he'll be looking for a new home. Anyone need a puppy? I'm sure Annabelle would LOVE to have him but we just aren't ready for a puppy yet!

Just a Lazy Weekend

So this picture just sums up our weekend. It was a good weekend, just not anything new or exciting happened. Annabelle and I went shopping for some new clothes on Saturday, Annabelle insisted on getting a new pair of shoes and cried when she couldn't wear them before we purchased them...it's hard to explain that you have to PAY for something before wearing it to a 2 year old while they're screaming their head off and everyone within a mile is giving you the evil eye! I had plans to go to the mall but decided not to go after the scene in Kohl's.

We did some grocery shopping and also searched for a new suitcase for Justin to take on his interview on Tuesday/Wednesday - yes, I said interview. Annabelle and I will be on our own Tuesday/Wednesday and we're planning a "Writer girls two day vacation!", I'll let you know how it goes.
